We are delighted to welcome George Van Hook to our roster of Gallery artists!
George began painting at an early age. His family owned a farm in Bucks County, home of the Pennsylvania impressionists. He became heavily influenced by their academic rigor and love of the landscape. George's work is also informed by the Brandywine School artists -- especially the work of Howard Pyle and the Wyeths.
Extensive travel throughout Europe has informed Van Hook’s plein air style. He continues to participate in outdoor painting competitions and has received numerous awards and commendations.
Here are a few of the beautiful paintings George just delivered to the gallery. Click on any photo to see our current inventory of George's work.
If you're in town, stop in and see these wonderful paintings in person!
My best to you,
Susan
